Pablo Buffagni: Chief Creative Officer, Grupo Gallegos
Pablo Buffagni joined Huntington Beach independent agency Grupo Gallegos in mid 2012
as Chief Creative Officer. His first project at Grupo, the campaign created under his leadership for the California Milk Processor Board, has been ranked as the most awarded US Hispanic work for 2013. Previously, working for Conill Saatchi & Saatchi for almost 10 years, Pablo created ground-breaking work for clients including Toyota and T-Mobile. In 2010, he was creative director and writer of the first US Hispanic spot to win a Gold Film Lion at Cannes.Pablo has served as a juror at Cannes Lions (Outdoor, 2012), FIAP (Buenos Aires, Argentina, 2004 and 2009), El Sol (San Sebastian, Spain, 2010), Radio Mercury Awards and the Effies, among others. His work has been honoured with several major awards from Cannes Lions, to Clios and Effies. In 2001, 2008 and again in 2013, he was voted Best Hispanic Creative Director in the US at “El Ojo de Iberoamerica” by Latinspots Magazine.
Leila Cobo / @leilacobo: Executive Director of Latin Content & Programming, Billboard
A Fulbright scholar from Cali, Colombia, Leila Cobo is the executive Editor for Latin Content and Programming for Billboard. Ms. Cobo is considered one of the country’s leading experts in Latin music. Under her tenure, Billboard has expanded its coverage of Latin Music in all its platforms, including Spanish-language website Billboardenespanol.com. Ms.Cobo works closely Telemundo on the Billboard Latin Music Awards and the Billboard Mexican Music Awards in addition to programming the yearly Billboard Latin Music Conference, the largest gathering of the Latin music industry in the U.S. Ms. Cobo is also host and executive producer of “Estudio Billboard,” the TV show that features in-depth interviews with top Latin acts.A classical pianist and novelist, Ms. Cobo has degrees in piano performance and a MA in communications. She has published two novels with Grand Central Publishing/Hatchette and her biography on Jenni Rivera will be published by Penguin in March.

Luis Miguel Messianu has played a respectable and influential role in the most important developments in the U.S. Hispanic market during a career that spans 25 years. Born to Romanian parents and raised in Mexico City, where his advertising career started, Luis Miguel Messianu has worked in both the Latin American and U.S. Hispanic markets. His career is defined by a conscious effort to help pioneer the melding of marketing niches into a nuanced and evolving total market. His award-winning and genre-bending work with multinationals such as McDonald’s, State Farm, Clorox, Anheuser Busch, Florida Blue, General Motors, Coca-Cola, Nestlé and L'Oreal, among others, is a testament to that effort. He is an innovator, a mentor and an example followed by many distinguished professionals in the multicultural marketing community.
Carlos Munoz: VP/Group Account Director, Latin Works
Carlos is responsible for overall management on the Anheuser-Busch, Mars and Humana accounts. Carlos’ team handles strategic development, client relationships and creative/promotional execution across all media, above and below the line. Formerly Group Account Director at GlobalHue. With previous assignments at TBWA, BBDO and JWT, Carlos has lived and worked in Colombia, Mexico, Germany and the U.S. Carlos holds a Journalism degree from the Universidad del Valle in Cali, Colombia. He is an enthusiastic runner, with two marathons under his belt. Carlos lives in Austin, Texas with his wife, son and two dogs.
