BILLBOARD/THE HOLLYWOOD REPORTER FILM & TV MUSIC CONFERENCE 2009

The Billboard/Hollywood Reporter Fim & TV Music conference was held Oct. 29 ? 30, 2009 at the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles. In its 8th year, this conference offered attendees the unique opportunity to learn from, network and share their music directly with the best music supervisors, composers, directors, songwriters and producers in the business. 2009 highlights included a keynote panel with R&B legend Mary J. Blige that included her co-writer Raphael Saadiq; keynote interview with actor Sacha Baron Cohen and his brother, composer Erran Baron Cohen; and panels on the music behind "Fame," "Glee," "The Twighlight Saga: New Moon" and "True Blood." The two-day event was sponsored by founding sponsor ASCAP, podcast sponsor APM Music, SESAC, BMI and 615 Music.

The Hollywood Reporter / Billboard Film and TV Music Conference 2008

The Hollywood Reporter and Billboard teamed up to deliver the seventh annual Film and TV Music Conference, held Nov. 13-14 at the Sofitel in Los Angeles. With record attendance, the sold-out event brought together top composers, directors, songwriters, record label, advertising, gaming, studio, network and publishing executives, as well as the best music supervisors in the business. In addition to panel discussions and roundtables led by leaders in the field, highlights included: a conversation with director Marc Steitenfeld; director/composer line with "The Wrestler" director Darren Aronofsky and composer Clint Mansell; keynote with "Defiance" director Edward Zwick and composer James Newton Howard; and a performance by "Ugly Betty" actor Val Emmich. Songwriter Diane Warren received the Hollywood Reporter/Billboard Film & TV Music Career Achievement award and composer Hans Zimmer was presented with the Hollywood Reporter/Billboard Maestro Award. 2008 sponsors included ASCAP, APM Music, BMI, SESAC, Firstcom Music, and Talent Solutions, among others.
